Dodge Turbocharger

November 30th, 2011

Among the teeming number of car companies in America, the one that definitely forms part of the elite few is Dodge. From its inception in 1900, Dodge slowly but steadily became a force to reckon with in and around Detroit. From 1915 onwards, Dodge started to produce and sell its own cars. In 1928 Chrysler Corporation bought Dodge from the original creators. Dodge at this moment has formed a coalition with Fiat. They both have decided to use pre-designed products and technologies of Dodge and use them for the vehicles that would be co-developed by both the companies.
A dodge turbocharger is a powerful and reliable turbocharger. This turbocharger mainly improves and escalates the density of air that goes in the engine. The compressor is designed to receive air, which it subsequently compresses and pushes into the engine at high pressure. The air that makes the compressor work is obtained from the exhaust gas found in the engine. The kinetic and potential energy of this air is transformed into rotational power by the turbine that powers the compressor. This turbine as mentioned earlier is responsible to run the compressor smoothly. This means that the cylinders present in the engine acquires larger mass of air than before. This helps in situations where the air pressure and density both are not conducive for an effective functioning of the engine. The volumetric efficiency is hereby enhanced. In higher latitudes a dodge turbocharger is thus indispensable equipment. It helps in nullifying the effect of low pressure, and escalates the power and efficiency of an engine.
